Welcome to The Shipwright's Arms Website

We, like many in the hospitality trade, are having to look at operating as cost effectively as possible. Closing hours may vary, especially in the winter on wet and windy days

We are very much a ‘destination’ pub with little passing trade, so we have to consider the rising costs we face across the board and adapt our trading hours as necessary.
Having survived Covid, we do not intend to let the current economic situation defeat us!
We will publish any changes on this website and our Instagram and Facebook pages, but feel free to call us at any time to save wasted journeys.

These are difficult times for everyone we know, but please support your local pub - wherever it is - as much as possible.

As ever, thank you for your continued understanding and support.

Just an old fashioned pub, serving real ales straight from the cask, with home cooked food available at lunchtimes and Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings during the summer.

No background music, no gaming machines, so just the place for a quiet pint in the unique interior of the pub, or in our wild life friendly creek side garden with views over the marsh - and perhaps a conversation with friends.

We do not not have WiFi - we have conversation!

Our aim is to provide a sanctuary from the hurly burly of everyday life, a place to unwind, relax and reflect.

CHANGES TO THE ENTRANCE TO HAM ROAD

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ENTRANCE TO HAM ROAD HAS CHANGED DUE TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW HOUSING ESTATE. THE NEW HAM ROAD ENTRANCE IS SLIGHTLY FURTHER ALONG THE OARE ROAD.
