Information
Dogs: Well behaved dogs are always welcome at the Shipwright's, but if your dog is wet or muddy please dry them off before bringing them in. We have towels and 'doggy blankets' for you to borrow if requiredd.
Food: We are a traditional pub that serves good pub food at certain times, please check the opening times on the left of the page for food service times. We do not have a restaurant and do not take bookings.
Ramblers: As we are on the Saxon Shore Way, ramblers are frequent visitors to the pub. We would ask that that if you intend bringing a party of eight or more, you give us a call first. Many ramblers start their walk at the pub and pre-order food, so that it is ready for them on their return.
Car Parking: Please note that our car park is for the use of Pub and boat yard customers only. There is no public parking.
Are we haunted? Many think we are, and there are certainly many tales of strange happenings at the Shipwright's. Make up your own mind when you hear the various stories - but a word of caution - if you sit in the corner seat by the small fire, you might feel just a little bit cold, even on the warmest day.....
Functions: We are always willing to host your special celebration providing it is within the pubs capabilities. Please note that the pub is not suitable for wedding receptions.
Bird Watching: Our part of the marsh is a haven for all kinds of birds and other wildlife, with rarer species frequently being spotted, especially during migration periods. During the summer months the pubs garden is an ideal spot to sit with a pint and survey the marsh.
